Obsessed (2024 Edition)
1:55 PMHey its’s me, but seven years older!
Holy shoot! I have not been in this blog for a veeeery long time and it shows! Okay, okay, I’ll go easy with my exclamation points now. Lol. It’s just been too long since my last entry, and I have been so very busy with life that I haven’t posted or poured my heart out to you, my dear non-existent readers, aka future me, and sometimes, my boyfriend (yes, I have a boyfriend now!!). But today, sinapian ako ng spirit of kasipagan (and maybe I felt a sudden inspiration to write about something).
I would love to fill you in with how my life has been for the last few years that I have been absent from this blog, but maybe I’ll write about that later. For now, my heart is wanting to write about my current obsessions, in no particular order.
1. My Shell Go+ App. So random, and it sounds so adult-y, but today I had my car’s engine oil changed at a Shell station nearby and I can’t help get obsessed with how much I love the Go+ App whenever I make a trip to Shell and gas up, and today, I used my app to get a discount for my oil change. And they gave me a free ensaymada, too! Lol. I guess I like the simple free and discounted stuff, in general.
2. Sunnies Face Lip Treat in Girl Crush. I have been using this lip balm for two months already, I think. And I am still obsessed with how it feels on my lips. I know this has been in the market for maybe over a year, and when it came out, I was hesitant in trying until a few months ago when it was on sale. I actually gave one to my boyfriend’s sister last year, and when she asked me to buy her more this year, I feel like maybe this lip balm is really worth trying. So when I finally did, I was instantly obsessed. It helped that I chose a good color, the very best seller shade, girl crush. I might try other shades, but yes, I am obsessed with this shade of lip treat.
3. Running. I just started running last April, and joining fun runs. I can’t describe the happy feeling of running, especially running in the early morning. Except, sometimes I get a little anxious when I run at five in the morning, because you never know the evil lurking in my city. But lately I have not been running, maybe because I have been very busy lately, or maybe that’s just an excuse. Anyway, I like running, and I like running especially with my running buddies, my cousins, Kian and Andrea. I have also been hiking with some friends, and although it’s tougher than running, I like the activity, especially the view after reaching the peak. I guess you can say I am in my running and hiking era. But you can also say I am not an aggressive runner and hiker. Lol.
4. Para Kay B by Ricky Lee. This book I just finished yesterday, I loved it that I was already thinking of giving it five stars on goodreads even before I finished reading it. This is the first tagalog book I have read in a very long time, and I can’t help but get obsessed over how funny and nice this book is. I think my first tagalog book was Bob Ong’s ABNKKBSNPLAK, and it is very different with this book, because this is more graphic, and the sexual context was a little bit shocking. Lol. But this book is the kind of book that takes you off of your reading slump, because when I finished this book, it made want to read more, which is good because I am four more books away from completing my reading challenge this year.
So that’s everything I can think of that I am obsessed with at the moment. Maybe I have more, but my brain is not working anymore. Or i think the spirit of kasipagan has left me already. But I guess you can tell how much I’ve grown or changed (or what have you) in the past seven years, through my current obsessions. Maybe. I don’t know. And frankly, I don't care, I just wanted to word vomit. Hehe. See you!
